Crime Grime Fighter! I spent half my childhood wearing a cape. Granted, my super-outfits consisted of bath towels and swimsuits (nothing this fancy). Nevertheless, I managed to save the world on a regular basis (I was a legend in my own mind). How many times did you save the world as a kid?
“It’s not the suit that makes the hero, but the person inside.” ~Iron Man

Adorable!
Cute pic! The only superhero-ish moment I can remember from childhood is the time I tried jumping off the flat roof of our garage with a bedsheet parachute of my own design. Needless to say, it did not slow my descent even a teeny bit.
Ouch! A rite of passage, Russell. At least you chose a single story roof.
True Facts! Not the person outside makes the hero but the real person inside.💐
Exactly, Ramani.
My imagination ran to being a sports hero! Does that count? 😃
Well, it would help if you did it in spandex, but sure, Howard. ;>)
Now you tell me:))
Ha ha!! Spandex!
For most of my youth, I was too busy fleeing from the wrath of a ‘switch’-wielding mother to save the world! 😉
I got a kick out of your Grime Fighter pic. The only superhero thing I did was to stop my dog from mauling a drug dealer back in the day. 🙂
Hmm, couldn’t you have let him maul the guy at least a little before stopping him?
It was instinctive to stop the dog. He had shattered our storm door window while trying to attack the guy. I suppose he soiled his pants, so there’s that. 🙂
Never did try to save the world… Truth be told, I was too busy looking for a hero to save me. 😌 Finally found him in 1973, married him in 74 and we both found our life-long, forever SUPER HERO, Hero of all heroes, in 1975… Our Savior Jesus Christ. We will be married 50 years in April, and we both believe with all our hearts that the LORD made all the difference. We would not be where we are, who we are or doing what we do today if HE was not at the helm of our lives. How can I help but praise HIM!!! 🙌🏻✝️♥️
1976 for me, Dori. And congrats on your upcoming 50th!
Thank you, Mitch… the right one sure makes a difference, doesn’t it? And congrats to you two as well! 🎉❣️🎉
Such a charming image and great quote!
I love this:):)
Thanks, Mitch. I’m convinced my many dreams of flying grew out of jumping from the high chest of drawers onto the twin bed with the cape (neck-tied towel) flapping behind me.
Perfectly understandable, Grant. Beds are made for superhero practice!
Superheroes need a laundry day too!
Ironin’ Man is the best! 😁
;>)
My brother’s baby blankets made great capes–soft and lightweight so they billowed out nicely when I ran. Another added feature: the pretty pastel colors. I did NOT save the world, though, due perhaps to my wimpy capes.
;>)
I buried twigs and leaves in a box after I cast a magic spell to make people kind. I was 9.
You always make me smile. Adorable!
Love the ironman quote at the end!
