The Most Memorable Year of My Life
My Real Memoir Not until my wedding, 21 years later, did I have another year that was so packed with personal memories. I’d fallen in love with music just as the Beatles and ensuing British Invasion hit, and started learning … Continue reading

If-Then: My Teenage Equation
Photo by Andrea Piacquadio My Real Memoir The summer before high school was packed with equations. I’d signed up for summer classes at four-year-old La Mirada High, its sidewalks still warm from the exit treds of its first graduating class. … Continue reading

The Year I Invented Myself
My first actor headshots, age 14 My Real Memoir Almost the moment we hit our teens, we become sentient beings. Before that we’re racoons: too clever for our own good (or at least our parents’ good), and basically untamable. Not … Continue reading

My Wife and I Are Poster Kids!
I couldn’t mention this until today, because it’s kinda hush-hush. Also, because we were out of town, and wife Trudy refused to let me tip off burglars that our house was unoccupied (except for a six lb. attack kitty) and … Continue reading

Observe the Truth
I once studied Shakespeare with the renowned British actor Brewster Mason. Each time I would act out the Bard’s words, Brewster would interrupt me and say, “No, no, no, observe the meter, observe the meter!” It wasn’t until years later … Continue reading

Brit Wit!
