And don’t miss the second set of pictures and quotes below.

Then again, maybe we’ve always been weird:

“I’m very polite by nature, even the voices in my head let each other finish their sentences.” ~Graham Parke

“I’d rather be a little weird than all boring.” ~Rebecca McKinsey

“I am sure some of you are looking at me and thinking, ‘Well, at least I am not as weird as you,’ and I am thinking, ‘Well, at least I am not as weird as the people in the loony bin,’ and the people in the loony bin are thinking, ‘Well, at least I am an orange’.” ~Jim Gaffigan

“We look at each other with shy relief. It’s the look two odd socks give when they recognize each other in the wild.” ~Fiona Wood

“When any worthwhile thing is done in the world, it’s usually done by somebody weird.” ~John Sandford

“What makes you different or weird—that’s your strength.” ~Meryl Streep

“Nobody feels normal. Everybody just thinks everybody else does.”

~Healing River

Weirder, crazier, stranger, and at times downright scarier.

  2. Love the quotes! The photos? Kinda gaggy. . .

  3. These are outrageous!

  4. Matt says:

My fave is the guy with the billboard selfie, that’s genius.

  5. GP says:

The world has gone off the deep end and no one is strong enough to catch it!

  6. A lot of weird but very entertaining pictures

  7. Weird is probably in the eye of the beholder. But, yeah, sometimes things seem like they’ve gotten really weird. Good post!

  8. Hilarious Mitch – you are a great narrator

  9. C.A. Post says:

You answered your own question. You’re weird and always have been.🤠
Your brother by another mother and a different father.

  10. A few of your quotes made me go to my collection and the following two seemed reasonably relevant:
    1. “When trouble arises and things look bad, there is always one individual who perceives a solution and is willing to take command. Very often, that person is crazy.”

    2. His troops followed him, but only out of a sense of morbid curiosity.”

I think the world has always been weird, and these photos reflect that. Weird has become the new norm.

  12. L.G. says:

    Yes it is

  13. You’re definitely on to something with the escalating weirdness. My favorite crazy image is the four little pick up trucks suckling off the tanker truck. I love Jim Gaffigan’s quote! His rationalization of a positive self image is hilarious. 🙂

  14. Love the quotes, especially Jim Gaffigan. Mike Warnke had a whole album called “Weirdness,” as I recall.

  15. Definitely wierd!

  16. #hood says:

    who is mckinsey

  17. To be human is to be weird. We are the same cooks, we just have new ingredients and kitchen appliances lol.

  18. Hod says:

    This is our world.

  19. I definitely think the world is sicker, which is not the same as weird.

  20. Thanks for the laughs, Mitch, always enjoy. Love the quotes! We have the print of the young boy smoking with the chicken – my husband calls it a South Carolina baby pic! He’s from SC. 😂

  21. Oh, my goodness. These photos are crazy, Mitch. My favorites are the ones with the chickens.

  22. Some more great laughs with this batch!
When I saw the picture of the suit on the tree (your caption was “Yeah, that’s gotta hurt”), I thought, “Apparently Vlad the Impaler did not like Steve Martin’s standup routine.”

  23. Java Bean: “Ayyy, well, it definitely hasn’t gotten any LESS weird, anyway …”

  24. YAH—-WEIRD IS UST MORE CREATIVE, AS THE LIMITS ON WHAT IS ACCEPTABLE GET WIDER, SO THE WEIRD EXPRESSIONS OF SAME COME OUT INTO THE OPEN MORE, OUYT FROM UNDER THEIR ROCK!
