Here’s the Recipe for Perfect Peace

Perfect Peace

There’s a wise and ancient recipe:

Desire nothing

and you shall have peace

Wise, yes

But incomplete

Here’s how to complete it:

Desire nothing but God

and you shall have perfect peace

θ

Tomorrow, Monday morning at 8:00 a.m., I’m having a major heart procedure. The odds of success are excellent–but not perfect. When I surrender my desire for a perfect outcome, I feel a certain degree of peace. But when I trust the outcome to God, I have perfect peace.
