From the yellow hut
near the power plant’s river

Rubber duck winnings
buys popcorn, moo-moos, a pony,
car rides, burst balloons.
UNDERSTANDING A FATEFUL EVENT
The conflagration
took the dollhouse, tiny woods,
all her play spaces.


Alone at the Fair with Money appeals to me the most. It is filled with nostalgic triggers. Thanks for sharing, Mitch. Good luck, Jonathan! 🙂
Wow. I usually struggle with Haikus, but these are wonderful. The second and fourth particularly struck me.
