Faces Faces Everywhere!

Faces Faces EverywhereTurtle hats were all the rage amongst fashionable pirates. Source: reddit.com

Faces, faces everywhere! Is anything more human than to see shapes, especially faces, in nature, in everyday objects, in shadows? They fascinate us, amuse us, and occasionally scare us. Why? Because, well, we’re human.

  6. I was (am?) always seeing faces in the things around me and getting in trouble for “daydreaming.” I probably should have been taking pictures …

  7. I see all kinds of pareidolia in tiles in kitchens and bathrooms, and don’t even get me started on how my brain morphs clouds, houses and buildings into everything from monsters to benevolent dragons!🤪

It IS an interesting phenomenon how our eyes pick up on face-likenesses here, there, and everywhere–even in a dollop of peanut butter! Such fun. You’ll have to revisit this theme in the future, Mitch!

You need the phantasy of a child to see these faces. They make me smile on my early Sunday morning. I like to look for faces (and other figures) in clouds and in some bathroom tiles.

  20. Fascinating. I love it!

  21. boromax says:

Love these. Several I had not seen before, too; especially the shadow/drawing ones – so creative!

  22. I got a kick out of those. I chuckled at the next to last one, with the clock saying, “They used to need me, now it’s, ‘Oh, my smartphone can do that.'” Hey buddy, if you could impersonate a rooster (and occasionally go off in church when the preacher is telling a story that involves birds), you would still have a job!”

  23. Impossible to pick a favorite. Thanks for sharing.
