Turtle Love in Middletown

My Featured Blogger this week is Suzanne’s Mom of Boston, Massachusetts. A former editor, and now an ESL teacher and theatre reviewer, Suzanne’s Mom writes winsomely and compassionately on a wide range of subjects, including the arts, the disadvantaged, and the natural world. What’s not to love?

NOTE: For reasons known only to them, WordPress has so drastically disabled the reblogging process–essentially reducing “reblogs” to nothing but linked titles–that, as of today, I will be seeking alternative ways to feature bloggers without WordPress’s “help.” ~Mitch

I’ve never been a fan of the established esthetics of spacing either in posts or reblogs, so have found my own way years ago. Your posts look great, very warm to the eye, no need for improvement. For reblogs, I leave a comment at the source site expressing thanks and notifying of my own upcoming post, then copy the relevant text or link by hand, go over to my own site, and construct a posting with it just as I usually would with original work, adding a grateful mention for the material in italics underneath that post’s title. I’ve been pleased with the results of this method ~ hope it helps!

Thanks, Ana! I used to click the Reblog button, write a note, and then click the publish button; the first half or so of the post, with original images, would show up at my site, and then I’d just tweak it a bit. Now, only the title shows up at my site, along with my note. So, as of today, I’ve started copying and pasting like you do.

Sigh. I wish wordpress would stop ‘improving’ their platform.

Sad to say, wordpress subscribes to the motto – “If it works, try to fix it anyway!”
