Last week, I posted pictures Trudy and I took on our autumn getaway to Maine. I honestly thought I could finish today, but there are just too many wonderful sights to share with you! So, here’s Part Two–with Part Three yet to come! These photos were taken mostly in and around Rockland, Maine’s Breakwater Head and Owls Head lighthouses. But a few were also taken shortly after our arrival at the storied Acadia National Park.

My mom was born in Maine and she and her older sister lived there until my aunt was out of high school at age 14. They moved to Pasadena, CA and my mom said she still missed Maine right up to her final year on this planet (age 92). It is so gorgeous. I was blessed to take her and my aunt back for a nostalgia tour in the mid-80s. Still wish I could go back in the fall. Thanks for sharing the beauty vicariously with us!

Beautiful photos! I have experienced autumn in Maine so know how lovely nature is there. The further back in the hills I went, the more scenic the state.
