Accidentally Invisible!

Some People Lead Highly Visible Lives

Others prefer to gather secrets unseen, and then go off to write tell-all stories. Yet at one time or another, we’re all accidentally invisible. But enough of this metaphorical business (there’s more in the quotes after the pictures). Here are some people, objects, and animals that are (almost) literally invisible!

“Almost everything important in life is invisible.” ~Nadja Sam

“There’s an inherent pleasure in being unseen.” ~Emily St. John Mandel

“I don’t know why people are so keen to put the details of their private life in public; they forget that invisibility is a superpower.” ~Banksy

“Invisibility can be good as a superpower. But psychiatry reveals people don’t like it very much.” ~Joyce Rachelle

“This invisibility has its drawbacks after all. Otherwise, I suppose, I might have spent a warm and comfortable night in bed!” ~The Hobbit

“It’s amazing how much power a smile holds. It’s contagious…it’s also the most powerful camouflage. For that person who seems to have it all together is merely masking the pain of drowning tears. Don’t be so quick to assume.” ~Brittany Burgunder

“You see, the strangeness of my case is that now I no longer fear the invisible, I’m terrified by reality.” ~Jean Lorrain

“We think,” said Silverfish, leaning closer, “that he found a way of making himself invisible.” “Really?” “Because,” said Silverfish, nodding conspiratorially, “no-one has seen him.” ~Terry Pratchett

“You’re only as invisible as you feel.” ~Michelle Cuevas

Fascinating, Mitch. For some months, however, I can’t get to the clearer pictures by clicking on them in my email. Has something changed? It comes up blank and tells me to look elsewhere or something. I went to your blog, and could find them without a problem. Blessings and happy summer time!

Sorry you’re having trouble with the pictures, Anne. Glitches are all-too-common on WordPress. Blessings and a happy summer to you too, dear friend!

Good morning Friend! I understand… no offense taken. It’s all good! I love your posts, continue to grow.

  6. There are two theories regarding how to choose a cat or dog: 1. Choose one that coordinates with your decor so its shedding will be less noticeable; or 2. Choose one that contrasts with your decor so you will be less likely to step on or trip over it. Neither one works.

As a woman when you reach the age of 50 you become invisible. I was shocked. I had no warning. Up until that time, I was considered very attractive, intelligent, fun etc. The moment the calendar flipped, it was like a magic trick.
I am not the only woman who feels this way. All you have to do is search women over 50 and their problems and concerns, and you’ll see.

  14. Captivating images, especially the skull with the butterfly eye. The yellow fire hydrant with the child in the yellow coat standing next to it with outstretched arms is darling. 🙂

What a great collection! Love the quotes too:)))))))))))))

  16. You are a great photographer. You see things that many people would miss. This post made me think about all of the scriptures in the Bible that refer to the word invisible. There are several, like this one: “Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.” Colossians 1:15

Lulu: “When do you ever actually go on secret missions?”
