Three Rules for Success

Thought for the Week

Like faithful friends, the following quotes have served as reminders, “rules” if you will, to keep me going when success seemed unattainable. May they serve you as well.

Success

Failure is the key to success. Yada-yada. I hate that, don’t you?  Nevertheless, it’s true. But wait, what about those stories of people for whom success came easily? Have you read the follow-up accounts? Their success always seems to turn to misery. Why? Because…

Failure is the key to maturity (if we allow it to be). And maturity is the key to true success. As James said 2,000 years ago:

  15. Excellent… This brought to mind a coach at our high school who never let the bad reviews get to him…after a lost game. I asked him how he did that. His answer, “Well, I do what I believe God wants me to do, so the reviews don’t matter to me, good or bad.”

  16. Love the last reminder.

  17. Wonderful quotes, well done!

  18. Thanks for the wise words of encouragement, Mitch!
