    I’m an agnostic but I lean heavily in favor of a supreme intelligence, an initiator of all that we puny humans can perceive. I think many scientists are of this view. My argument with religion is that there are too many “Holy Books” all claiming to be the directly, literally, inspired word of that supreme being. Those books are fine for metaphorical lessons but arguing the meaning of “scripture” is like the proverbial, “how many angels can dance on the head of a pin?:”

      I felt the same way about the world’s religious writings, Vernon. The turning point for me was the words and character of Jesus. To borrow from Sesame Street: One of these things was not like the others.

    Good points, good read. Everything is faith based. I always ask people who don’t believe in God to prove objectively if their minds are working correctly and to their surprise they see that they are using faith to disprove something to which they stand on 🙈.

    Hi Mitch,

    There is so much that exists that can’t be measured in our limited means. Thank the Lord. God is so much bigger and real than things in the temporal. There is nothing man made to measure that.

    Nah, just Christians who aren’t Christians. No actually if you understood the potential of the faith, you would be amazed at rational the choices one can make through properly following Christ. Again couple a blind person with another blind person and nothing good is going to happen is it? 🙂
