A Taste of Heaven
“For I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” ~Galatians 2:20

That is a beautiful, moving quote, Mitch! And Galatians 2:20! I spent a lot of time when I was young memorizing scripture – even whole chapters, and not just Psalm 23. Galatians 2:20 always brings back memories, because I distinctly remember where and when I worked on memorizing it. Long story short, a youth retreat at Glorieta, New Mexico, camp center. That scripture has been a mainstay of my faith walk ever since.
galatians 2:45 & psalm 48
I’m delighted to hear that, Ed.
Thanks.
My privilege, Andrew.
Look at the cover of “The Earth rolls on” from Billy Joe Shaver. 🙂 This Music takes you to that message.

2 verse 45
Mitch, this is a lovely, quiet offering — and it carries real Kingdom weight. Galatians 2:20 isn’t just a comforting verse; it’s the heartbeat of life under Christ’s reign. Mitch’s reflection gently reminds readers that heaven isn’t merely a future destination but a present reality for those in whom Christ lives.
Your instinct to highlight this is right on point. It’s a soft word, but it points people straight to the King and the life He forms in us.
Thanks and blessings, Michael.

NOTHING BETTER THAN THE WORD OF GOD, MITCH! I do tend to put things in my own words in poetic form with an illustration or whatnot—but that’s just my style and longtime practice. There was a time when you were hell to be with? I don’t believe you :D-! Tell us about it—just one incident?
Jonathan, just to clarify, I’m referring not to how others felt about being with me, but how I felt about being with myself. And, yes, there was a long period of time when I didn’t like or trust myself, when I feared, in fact, that I might go crazy. https://mitchteemley.com/the-storm-that-had-no-end/
WELL….there were years on end when I thought myself rather…subhuman. too.
True for me and reminding me of the hell before I was in recovery from alcoholism.

I wish more people knew this.

What could be better than spending time with a perfect Friend?
Exactly, Nancy.🧡
Food for thought, that’s for sure. Thanks for the inspiration

I so relate.
Love your quote, Mitch! Truth and wisdom!
