I’m not called to show people their darkness–
They already know about that.
I’m called to show them God’s light.
“Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”

And it is light that reveals what the darkness is made of to those who know not the difference between dark and light.
You so it well!
Glory to God for his light that casts out the darkness! Shine!
Amen, Hazel.

Wonderful verse!
Reminds of hymn: Shine, Jesus Shine !
Great song, Carl!
This awesome song “Whom Shall I Fear” by Chris Tomlin popped into my mind:
You hear me when I call
You are my morning song
Though darkness fills the night
It cannot hide the light
Whom shall I fear
I too, like the Chris Tomlin song. I’ve been thinking lately with all this uncertainty, pain, suffering, and darkness that I too could just go hide in a dark place. But then I thought of Jeremy Camp’s song, These Days, and I realized I need to stand out and shine.
I believe that you and I
Are in the right place, at the right time
God called us by name
And He doesn’t make mistakes
I know we were born to shine bright
In a dark world that needed some light
Don’t have to be afraid
Maybe we were made for these days
Thank you, Mitch, as always for time to reflect and connect!
My privilege, Joanne!
Amen!

rachel carpenter & the extra mile verse 41 how many verses in matthew chapter 5
And when we all shine together with love, joy, peace, compassion, positivity, and more, what a beautiful constellation we make (Philippians 2:15-16), that is hard to dismiss!
“A holy life will produce the deepest impression. Lighthouses blow no horns; they only shine.” – D. L. Moody
Great quote, Todd.
Good scripture! Amen!
Lovely photo. Simple yet lovely message
Thank you, Heim (is that your first name?).
No … LOL. My first name is Linda. I’m president of a local non-profit – Heimdal Science Fiction & that’s the first part of my email … Heimdal Commanding Officer. We are 58 science fiction people but support 9 charities at Christmas & annually send a local middle school student to NASA’s Space Camp for a week through a contest in the local middle schools AND a lot of hard work fundraising
Aha, good to know, Linda. Sounds like a very cool non-profit, btw.
Thank you … lots of work but VERY rewarding
We are like the moon. Our light shines because He shines on us! Therefore, we should always be a light to others.
Exactly, Pete!
