Few things transform the world around us more than snow. It can be gentle, harsh, inspiring, threatening, blinding or enlightening–and then suddenly its gone. Kind of like people.

I would love to be on that train 🚂 peering through the window at God’s marvelous, winter-time masterpiece 💕
Me too! I so love the snow!!!
Blessings💕
Beautiful pictures!
I need snow, we haven’t had any!
Agreed… I lived in Boston as a kid and the one thing that stands out to me the most is how snow covered everything from the smallest twig to largest rooftop! Much like the blood of Jesus that covers all our sin…whether we think it is small or large, He took every bit of it to the cross and exchanged out sin for His robe of righteousness. He’s got us completely covered and we are whiter than snow! Praise God for this Great Exchange! 🙌🏻✝️♥️
Poignant insight. God bless, Mitch!
You too, Nancy.
So beautiful!
This is so poignant and perfect! Thank you for sharing, dear friend. ❄️💙
My pleasure, Karla!
God’s gifts!
Excellent collection
Thank you, Anita.
I am not fond of cold weather or snow, but I do love to see pictures of it. I especially like the snowfronds. The colors are so delicate to match the delicate fronds. We haven’t had much snow yet this year although they are predicting a storm but don’t know how much of it we will actually get here in London Ontario. It often is much worse just to the north of us. We had a very green Christmas and have had a lot of rain and cloudy days.
Pretty much the same weather as Detroit?
Possibly, but London is kind of in the middle of an area that gets worse weather than we do. There can be snow storms just a few miles away that only affect us a little. But we have had some really bad storms in the past. Hoping there won’t be any of those this year. 🙂
A few hours after my previous comment I looked out of my window to see the snow coming down and the traffic slowed to a snail’s pace. A fire truck drove past at about the same speed as the cars, so I figured it must have been bad. But I don’t think we got a lot of accumulation. Cars seemed to be moving well today. They are calling for some snow over night and flurries tomorrow. Hope it’s fairly clear to get to church.
Snow is so pretty. I suppose I might miss it if I moved south. But probably not much.
Thanks for sharing
Inspiring collection. Really incredible!
Awaiting our 2nd snow! But first there was flood. Quite a different set of emotions.
I’ll bet!
Mitch, your comment about snow being here and suddenly gone, got my attention. Living in a place with nine months of winter and snow, it stays long and slowly leaves. However, your collection of snow photos are phenomenal! Thank you for sharing!
You got me, Hazel; I wasn’t thinking of Alaska when I wrote that. ;>) So glad you enjoyed the photos!
😊
Nice pictures Mitch! I enjoyed looking at them more than being out in our blizzard earlier.
!!
Snow is a visual representation of silence.
The pictures you shared are incredible! I particularly love the Winter Tiger! Thanks for all your hard work! -Janet Oldfield
My pleasure, Janet.
Oh my the picture of the mountains that looked like someone sleeping. Beautiful pictures as always Mitch. Thanks. These always brighten my Saturday here at home.
Delighted to hear that, Nicola.
The pic of the cave with two holes and the moon is stunning.
Mitch,
Let it snow, let it snow, just watch for black ice. Have a cool day.

You too, Gary.
What awesome pictures! Although, I would rather see them during Summer to cool down.
Beautiful!
Love the beautiful bird, created by snow collecting in the crevices of a mountain, and then reflected off the glassy lake below! Love these slide shows, Mitch, that celebrate the beauty, wonder, peculiarity, and humor to be found in our world.
So glad you enjoyed it, dear friend.
Breathtaking pictures ♥️
Winter in all its glory!!!💖
Well said! And nice pictures.
Thanks, Iman.
Here we thought we had dodged the usual snow overload and then Snowmaggedon hit in January. Although I am considering snow is better than the minus temperatures we now have. At least the super cold days bring blue skies.
I grew up in snow country, but where I live, we never get snow. Some years we drive a couple hours just to get into it while people in other parts of the country try to escape it. Crazy, I know.
During the winter in SoCal people love to drive “up to the snow” in the local mountains.
Some middle-aged and older people who have lived here their whole lives have never been to Yosemite NP (2 hours away); last spring and summer, we took three day trips there. That’s also one place where we’ve gone for snow.
Yosemite is spectacular in every season.
