Men, said the Devil,
are good to their brothers:
they don’t want to mend
their own ways, but each other’s.

Amen,
Hmm, not sure if I agree with the commentary. That previous generations honored Christian principles, even though most did not really trust in Jesus, made society much better. Sometimes “practicing in public” even though one does not do so from the heart, is better than being evil publicly. But then again, hot or cold is preferred to lukewarm in Revelation 3. So not sure.
Any ideas?
My “practice” comment was a play on words re. the phrase “practice what you preach,” i.e. don’t ‘practice’ your preaching in public if you’re not willing to practice those things in your life. I certainly agree that practicing Christian principles benefits everyone. E.g. my parents weren’t Jesus-followers, but they lived out biblical values re. marriage, kindness toward others, etc. and many people benefitted from their doing so.
Amen!
I was picking splinters out of other people’s eyes, but couldn’t see the board in my own. My paraphrase of a favorite parable of Christ.
Exactly!
I’ve been saying something similar lately: seen the good in people, even if it’s not there because you’ll be a nicer person as a result.

Amen!
We show other’s that we follow the Lord, when we love one another.
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.(John 13:34,35).
It’s not the easiest thing to do to be kind to the unruly, but we can do all things through Christ!
Many Blessings Mitch.

You too, Julia!
Amen, my brother.
That is so good! Love how you worded that
Thank you, Kathy.
