Halloween Is Almost Here!

Preachers, teachers and group leaders: This classic routine from the bestselling comedy video Mitch & Allen Live! (1983) is a great kicker-offer for sermons or discussions on the nature of evil, or for Halloween alternative events! My comedy partner Allen and I had been watching The Blob, a classic monster movie from the 1950s, when it struck us that this was how sin (evil) entered the world. First, it consumed a couple of naïve teenagers – and then it spread like a hideous blob! It Came From Outer Darkness is available from my short film distributor Sermon Central.

That’s pretty Rad Mitch, so cool to see an early performance.

I literally had nightmares from watching “The Blob” as a kid. Also, “The Thing”!

  3. CattleCapers says:

The original The Blob with Steve McQueen is an amazingly well-written movie. I actually bought a DVD copy to study it. Excellent choice.

I am pissed by halloween every year. Since nearly 15 years we are forced to celebrate this anglo-american thing in our country. Only for the profit of the candy-and sweets-industry. Thats not a german tradition. No-one knows the kontext of that thing around. Its only money-wasting.

Very creative… and I love the shirts!

  6. Well Mitch, you’re about seventy years too late for me. I saw “The Blob” at the Camargo Theater in Madeira, Ohio when I was seven and couldn’t sleep for a couple nights after that. I laughed when I saw that it was playing at a neighborhood theater two days ago. I wish I had seen your production. Happy Halloween. Dirt
