Thought for the Week
Creativity is scary, confusing, messy, fraught with mistakes…and what you were made for.

As long as one isn’t making the same mistakes over and over 🙂 Then that’s called a decision.
Hey, do you mind if I ask when did you start blogging
No problem. Almost eight years ago.
Great quotes! I’ve always found my connection with God is stronger when I’m creating something.
Me too, Andrew. Your comment makes me think of that famous line from ‘Chariots of Fire,’ “When I run, I can feel His pleasure.”
Leap-of-faithing this week!
Powerful quotes
I’ve never heard that Shakespeare quote. Lovely.
Maybe I have (in context of the play on stage—I just looked it up), but it didn’t stick.
Great collection of quotes, Mitch. I once knew a few but have forgotten them, but one I hope to never forget was made by my brother — “I forget if I remember that or not!” Been busy working on a book lately so not much blogging. Never thought I would ever run out of things to say until I began the book of memories. Maybe some day I’ll share some of that but just not sure anyone sane would want to read them.
If it brings pleasure to you, it’ll likely do so for others.
AMEN! Just the fortification I needed today. Thanks, Mitch!
My pleasure, Russell.
I have never heard of Scott Adams, but I love the quote. It reminds me of Michaelangelo chipping away all the marble to reveal the Pieta underneath.
I see the parallel, Pete. Scott Adams is the creator of the Dilbert comic strip.
is fantasy island your favorite series with mr roake
Hi, Rudy. No, I saw a couple of episodes of ‘Fantasy Island’ a long time ago, but that was all.

Not only does creativity take courage, life in general often does.
I enjoyed the quotes… partly because my son and I have started a podcast titled The Creative Moment (6 episodes so far). We discus creativity in our lives. My son is a photographer and I am a writer (you know that). So the quotes just hit on some of the things we have talked about. Fun post!
