Astonishing Sculptures

I love public art! Especially those pieces that catch us off-guard, delight us, or make us think. These public sculptures–in thoroughfares, in forests or along garden paths, some even carved right into the trees and rocks, employing living scenery–do just that!

  13. Loved these! Did you write the captions? Very fitting. I have seen pictures of the “homeless Jesus” before – very thought-provoking.

      Yes, I did the captions. I’ve been waiting to post some of these for quite a while, especially the “homeless Jesus.” Thought-provoking indeed.

    Yes, indeed gorgeous and many kinds of sculptures! My favorite one is: “Let me out!”. In Finland we use chain saw when making carvings. We love bears and that is why we have bear carving contests. If You do not mind, I give here the first post of two:
