Autumn is coming and we’re almost 2/3rds of the way through 2019!
How’s your Plan for the Year going so far?

“The best laid schemes of mice and men go oft astray.” ~Robert Burns
“Life is what happens to us while we’re making other plans.” ~Allen Saunders (often misattributed to John Lennon)
“Spontaneity is one of the joys of existence, especially if you prepare for it in advance.” ~Alan Dean Foster
“Imperfect action beats perfect planning.” ~Sharon Pearson
“You can’t plow a field simply by turning it over in your mind.” ~Gordon B. Hinckley
“No matter what the work you are doing, be always ready to drop it. And plan so as to be able to leave it.” ~Leo Tolstoy
“When things don’t go according to plan, plan according to how things go.” ~Kayambila Mpulamasaka
“It does not do to leave a live dragon out of your calculations, if you live near him.” ~J.R.R. Tolkien
“It’s a funny thing, how much time we spend planning our lives. We so convince ourselves of what we want to do, that sometimes we don’t see what we’re meant to do.” ~Susan Gregg Gilmore

LOL! Wait….was there supposed to be a plan?
Love that Tolkien quote, “It does not do to leave a live dragon out of your calculations, if you live near him.” Precisely. The plan is simply to not get eaten by a dragon. So far I’m winning. 🙂
Oh!! I haven’t been eaten by a dragon either!
We’ve had a rough go of it this year but hey, we are still putting one foot (albeit broken) in front of the other, so that’s something! Always reading, always writing, always learning. 🙂
Rolling with the punches, following your hunches, and learning in bunches. Sounds like a plan to me, Kim! ;>)
I like that!
I am no mouse in no snake’s belly! 😂 Maybe a bear in a cave…but that’s about it 😉
Get your roar on!
😅😅
“You can’t plow a field simply by turning it over in your mind.” that’s a keeper. Thanks Mitch for great quotes!
Love the Tolkien quote! Monday is the first day of school. 2019 is rushing away. God bless!
Sometimes I wish we could peek at God’s master plan for our lives. Great quotes…should the Burns quote read: “of mice and men”?
Yes! Typo! Or Freudian slip? Thanks for catching it!
Planning around dragons is sound advice.
What an interesting take on “where are you”. I like to be able to be where I am as opposed to “where should I be”. Planning could be over-rated if you never meet your goal.
I really liked this one: “When things don’t go according to plan, plan according to how things go.” Words to live by!
