What’s Wrong With This Picture?

Q. What’s wrong with this picture?

dali2_1247555c

A. It should have been you (and me).

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” ~Romans 3:23

“But God proves His love for us in this: that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”  ~Romans 5:8

“Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.”  ~John 15:13

Yes, it truly is a Good Friday.

    AMEN! <3

  2. Thank you for posting this powerful yet simple telling of God’s love for us, displayed on the cross. Easter blessings

  3. So right on! What I love about this painting is that there are no nails holding Jesus on the cross. His love is holding him there. I also love that He is hanging above the world (evert continent). His love is universal and his death transcends time and space!

  4. Every year I find myself crying. How can I sob and rejoice at the same time? Yep, that’s what I do.

“Yes, it truly is a Good Friday.”
and even at our best we fall short,
and even then He reaches out His hand.

  7. AMEN, AMEN, AMEN… It had to be a PERFECT sacrifice, in our place, and only HE qualifed. Thank you, Mitch. This is a wonderful post for Good Friday, truly Good!! ✝️🙌🏻❤️

  8. Salvador Dali’s masterpiece.
    And people thought me was
    just another crazy artist 😎

  9. So true! Thanks for this, Mitch!!

  10. A truly moving painting by Dali to remind us that Christ defeated Satan in the most important battle of all time and He did it not with a sword but by giving His life.
