Warning: This Isn’t a Blog Post, Part Deux

This Is Only a Test

…of My Early Warning Blogger Burn-Out System. Were this an actual blog post, you would be instructed to take shelter in the nearest Comment box, and say wonderful things about me until the All Clear notice.

OK, so I lied. This is a blog post. And once again, it’s my oh-so-clever way of letting you know that, along with Wednesdays, I intend to work very hard henceforth at not publishing Saturday blog posts.

I Wrote Last Fall…

…that I’d become overwhelmed with daily email notifications. As a result, I stopped posting on Wednesdays. That helped a lot. So now I’m planning a second weekly breather. This will buy me time to respond to previous emails, work on my memoirs. And to not feel guilty about ignoring Saturday blog post comments on Sundays. I checked with God, btw, and God said, “Cool, but just remember this, Mitch:

“Don’t ignore My comments.”

Breaks are wonderful therapy for an overworked brain, Mitch. I’m glad you’re doing this. Take a nap and spend at least 15 minutes doing absolutely nothing but listening to God. You sure don’t want to miss a message from HIM!!!

Das ist ja auch in Ordnung.

Der Blog soll ja auch nur eine erfreuliche Ableckung sein und nicht der Lebensinhalt.

Do what you can to sustain. I am all for resting the mind and body when they need it. I just came off my short break, and I am refreshed. 🙏🏾🩵

You are a very good writer, Mitch! I enjoy your writings! And breaks are also awesome!

You’re doing the right decision. If this stress you so much, it’s a good thing to stop it, it’s important that you think of your health first.

  6. It’s always good to take a time out. At least that’s what I told my kids to do. Now they tell me the same thing🥸

  7. Taking a couple days a week to recharge and nurture your creativity-which you do not lack-sounds like a good idea, Mitch. And, anyway, a five-day work week is the norm. 🙂

    Enjoy Saturdays Mitch!

  9. Sounds like a great idea. I’m thinking about the same thing.

  10. Take care of yourself Mitch.

  11. It’s always a good thing to take a break. A good plan and God always makes sure it all works out in the end, bringing everything together as it should be. Happy Saturdays.

  12. Totally get this Mitch ✝️ I can confirm God is cool with this, Amen 😎🎯

  14. Perfect. I had to take a break also because of my hubby’s health but it did help clear my head and put things in perspective!

  15. Breaks are needed for the creative spirit. Take as much time as you need to.

So happy I popped back on after neglecting to post on my blog for over a year! Seeing this made me realize even great writers need a break. I love your honesty. I ended up taking up watercolor painting because it is so much more relaxing LOL

This is a good insight for all writers! For a number of reasons, I have not been posting as often and now have more time to reflect and edit the fewer posts. I also felt the need to fill my soul with reading and just “being.” Take care, Mitch. You know we will be happy to see your posts whenever they appear!

I’m sure no-one you taking breathers. Rumour has it, even God does 😉
