“May you be so successful that people attribute all kinds of things to you that you never actually said!”
~Albert Einstein
But seriously…
Remember that true success is living out the purpose for which you were made.
“For many are the plans in a person’s heart, but (in the end) it is our Creator’s purpose that prevails.”
~Proverbs 19:21

Nice write up
Yes and Amen!
Great messages today, Mitch. 🙂
Thanks, Nancy.
IF I DID WELL, MOTHER DEMANDED THE CREDIT. IF I CHEATED. LIED AND STEPPED ON PEOPLE, NATURALLY IT WAS SOLELY MY FAULT AND EVIL NATURE. IF I DID VERY VERY POORLY AND FAILED IT WAS PUNISHMENT FROM GOD FOR THE 3 TIMES IN MY LIFE I SKIPPED OUT ON SUNDAY SCHOOL.
😔🌹
I love this Mitch, I have been enjoying writing my poetry so much and it surprises me how it unravels so beautiful and then I recall, the better it is, the better I feel, the more likely it is to be the hand of God writing through me and not me at all. Particularly when it begins with a question that I ask and then write the answer that comes.
I couldn’t agree more, Kate. Your comment reminds me of the famous line from Chariots of Fire, “I believe God made me fast. And when I run, I can feel His pleasure.”
Oh that’s such a good line and a great movie. And I think it’s a trueism we can feel in our bones when we are connected creatively or physically on a long run or other endeavour. I’m going to keep it in mind today. It’s a nice thread to tune into.
My former pastor told us that if we don’t know what our passion (most likely our calling) is, we should ask ourselves what we were doing the last time we lost all track of time.
That’s a great piece of advice, Annie.
LOL According to social media posts, blog posts, and agenda driven websites Albert Einstein, George Washington, and Benjamin Franklin, said a whole bunch of stuff that they never said. Especially Benjamin Franklin seems to be a target for fake quotes. Whenever I see a Benjamin Franklin quote I try to find out whether he really said that and typically he didn’t. People say whatever they want to say and then they sign Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, or Albert Einstein.
Yep.
Hint: If it says anything about the internet or social media, it probably wasn’t any of those guys. 😉
Amen!
We make plans but it our God who decides what will come to pass.
God gave me a gift to be able to paint and draw anything that I can see. I’d like to have an art business however, it is only God that can make that happen for me. I can’t do anything without him.
So, Mitch, I’m waiting on Him and believing in His promises.
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Ephesians 3:20
Hope all is well with you and your family. God bless you and your blog and have a great week ahead!

You too, Cora!
Thanks!

proverbs 44:46 the lord is my refuge & strength, happy are the children of the lord, i am 1st & last.
True Fact 💯💐 Mitch
Horrors! a a preacher the things people think I said in some sermon sometime are unbelievable. But honestly your actual point (after my shivers) is deeply true.
I know what you mean, Maren. I’ve experienced that too!
That’s funny, but also true! It’s amazing the amount of meme I see on Facebook attributing quotes to famous people that are completely not theirs. And that sad thing is, the people who post them obviously believe they are genuine!
This is so true, Mitch. I’ve been teaching for 45 years and can’t thinking of stopping. I k ow this is the plan God has for me. And I am so grateful!
You to, Joanne!
Amen, Mitch. Amen.

Most quotes can be attributed to Einstein, Lincoln, or Yogi Berra.
;>)
Our whole lives we strive for a purpose, and God already has it in hand. I praise Him!
Amen, dear friend! Good to hear from you, Terri.
proverbs 44:46 reminds you of something, why do i come up with that, to double the verse. if you read the next verse says verily said unto thee, he that has everlasting life. i am the facts of life.
