The Sense of God

One of the most influential writers and philosophers of the 20th century, Evelyn Underhill reached the above conclusion after finishing the most exhaustive study ever done on the experience of history’s mystics, people like St. Francis, Jacob Boehme, St. Teresa, Blaise Pascal, and Catherine of Sienna.

    Everyone has their own reality. I’m so glad to know and believe in our real and omnipotent God! I only have to believe by faith! But so happy she did all the hard work to get to this conclusion ;-)! Beautiful share, Mitch! The verse is perfect! Amen, dear friend!

    It’s odd to read this because her book arrived this week, which I’m looking forward to reading. I like the writings of Merton and Eckhart even though I’m not religious (more polytheistic you might say). Thanks for sharing Mitch. Kindest, Julian
