Thank You!

Dear followers friends: You have made Healing River a hit!

Amazon updates show that viewings of Healing River tripled last month and are continuing to go up! It’s now being watched every day by thousands who neither follow this blog nor know (or care) who I am. Why? Simply because they’ve heard it’s a good movie. And because of this trend, along with its being one of the best-rated films out there, They are now actively promoting it. “They” being the Amazon algorithms that have identified Healing River as a hit. Algorithms don’t care about a movie’s heart, or even know what a heart is, they just sees digits–lots of them.

But you have hearts, and You have seen into this movie’s heart and responded accordingly with your comments, reviews and ratings. So, no, Amazon hasn’t made it a hit. You have! Or rather–to give credit where credit is infinitely due–God, working through you, has.

When I was first given the green light to write, direct and produce a movie about “forgiving the unforgiveable,” a story of spiritual healing that had haunted me for years, I prayed, “Please, show me what You want.”

And God replied, “I want you to remember that, from start to finish, this is My project.”

I know, for regular visitors here, Healing River is becoming old news. Like bloggers who’ve written books or created artworks, I talk about my project frequently–sorry, about God’s project. Which is why I never tire of talking about it. But I do try and make sure each post has new information and a fresh focus. And the long-overdue focus of this post is you.

So thank you!

I have no idea how you ever found my little blog (From Turtle to Butterfly). To be honest, when I received the e-mail saying you had ‘liked’ my post titled “Hold Your Head Up”, I figured it was another of those ‘spammy’ likes I get so many of. Imagine my surprise when I clicked to check out your site and realized it wasn’t like that at all. So, I wanted to take a moment to say Thank YOU for taking the time to read my post. I pray that it blessed you in some way. I read this post of yours and figured it was a good one to post my thanks to you on and I hope to read more of your entries as time permits. I’m also interested in checking out this movie and seeing what it’s all about. So, thank you, again, for your kindness and may God bless you a hundred fold!

Hi Kathryn, I think I discovered you on the WordPress Reader when I typed in a tagword that brought you up. I like your transparency, the way you’re using your faith journey to minister to others. Good to meet you, and may God bless you a hundred fold as well.

I’m so glad you enjoyed Healing River, Chris! And I’m delighted to hear you’ve recommended it on Facebook. May I also encourage you, if you haven’t already, to leave a brief review at Amazon? (The more reviews it gets, the more they recommend it). Plus, you can rate it from 1 to 10 stars on IMDb (link below). Note: IMDb only recognizes the rating if you rate a few other movies, as well. Have a great Labor Day! https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5848326/
