Ooh good one, Mitch.
So very true!

And with those stones wound someone (usually a child) with a life long wound. People’s bodies heal from so much physical abuse but the emotional wounds can last forever.
Great post Mitch. Made me think of one of those catapults that fires big boulders. Those will crush someone. I think we’ve all probably encountered some of those crushing words from people.
Sadly, yes.
Hi Mitch, It’s been a while … I’ll always be thankful for you: you were the very frist person to comment on one of my very first posts on vernonmilesker.com. Wa are both SoCal boys. I’ve moved my domain off of WordPress [dot]com and onto a Visual Studio GitHub Instance. So, when you click on the URL https://vernonmileskerr.com that’s where you’ll be taken. I have to confess, my spiritual journey has evolved since you and I started conversing. I pray daily to God. (being NativeAmerican) I lean toward calling God, “The Great Spirit.” I try to keep my prayers free of reference to Bible-Scripture. Like our atheist friends, I’m just trying to “figure things out, as I, as a childhood-to-young-adult-atheist always did. I was already foored by the immensity and beauty of the Universe. One poetry prof. at S.F.State severly criticized by propentsity to always be contemplating “Infinity.” He said poems need to be “down to earth,” have macrovision rather than telescopic. It’s only in recent years that I’ve realized that his advice was “male-bovine-excrement”. LOL I’m also going to change the emphasis on vmk.com from arguing against “churchianity,” and “politics,” to one of a positive heralding of a “New Renaissance” where “chuchianity” no longer has the negative impact on human affairs that we have recently experienced. In the meantime God bless you. (I mean that sincerely.) And I pray that your output will reach the people who need to hear it.
Thanks again. Many thanks again,
Vern
Great to hear from you, Vern. “Male-bovine-excrement” indeed. There will always be a place for poetry, prayers, and praise to our Creator!
So true! 🙏
Oh, this is so true!!!!!
Sad to say, words do hurt 🙁
Great post Mitch. Whoever came up with that first quote wasn’t being honest.
Thanks, Leo and Nina.
