The future is always dark, the present only shines enough light for today. What happens beyond that is not an accident, just a series of today’s?

Indeed, “THIS is the day that the Lord has made…” Psalm 118:24

      • Plectrumm says:

Einstein was quoted on his 50th Birthday
“Scientific research can reduce superstition by encouraging people to think and view things in terms of cause and effect. Certain it is that a conviction, akin to religious feeling, of the rationality and intelligibility of the world lies behind all scientific work of a higher order… This firm belief, a belief bound up with a deep feeling, in a superior mind that reveals itself in the world of experience, represents my conception of God. In common parlance this may be described as “pantheistic” (Spinoza).[10]”

I like Einstein’s thinking very much until he gets to the “pantheistic” part. The idea that there must a superior mind behind a world that is rational and intelligible does not lead directly to the conclusion that the world IS God (pantheism). The supposition that God is something apart from and greater than the world seems more logical. When I see a work of art I don’t automatically conclude it must have created itself.

Thanks for your words of inspiration. My goal this year is with my recent diagnosis of autism to takd full advantage of what gift came with autism — my passion for writing. I hope that something I write will touch someone’s heart with hope, faith, and laughter. Your postings touch my heart and I thank you for sharing.

  5. One of my favorite scriptures. Blessings Mitch…

  6. You have Einstein’s smile and mind except you believe in God!

  7. I posted today about finding my passion! Great minds . . . . 🙂

  8. You’re not alone, Mitch. I’m off to a sluggish start for 2017, too.
