Thought for the Week
The term “casts out” in the original Greek means to displace, the process by which one thing replaces another, just as air displaces water in a submarine, causing the submarine to rise to the surface–because the two cannot occupy the same space at the same time. In the same way, God’s perfect love displaces fear, casting it out and taking its place–because fear and love cannot occupy the same space at the same time.
May you know that perfect love now, in the year to come, and always, dear friends.

Truth! And with all the fear in our nation (and in the world) we need to lean on God’s love to remove our fears. I have been working on this myself. Good words Mitch!

I enjoy your posts, Mitch. I really appreciate this little lesson on 1 John 4:18. I decided I needed to copy it in my journal, then also wrote it on a sticky note and put it next to that verse in my Bible. Before the day is out, I will send it to a loved one who, like me, sometimes struggles with anxiety.
