We don’t get a lot of snow in April. At least, not where I live. Yet flakes abound all the year ’round.
Like flakes of snow,
we’re each unique*
Trust me, I know,
I’ve met a lot
of flakes this week.
Flake (slang): a. One who is undependable, as in keeping social engagements. b. A somewhat eccentric person; an oddball. ~The Free Dictionary
*I’m pretty good at avoiding the first definition. But, in truth, more than a few people picture me when they think of the second.

Loved this one!
😂 well I know I’m getting pretty old and flakey, that’s what happens in winter…
;>) And with that kind of flakey comes itchy! I rub my back against door posts like a bear does a tree.
lol they make some stuff called lotion? 😉lol
Gracias por seguir enriqueciendo mi vocabulario
Un placer, Ana.
Witty statement! 🙂
;>)
Great play on words 👍🏽🙏
Thanks, Liz.
I’ve met a lot of those over the years. 🙂
I always thought a “flake” was a stupid person. I don’t know why lol. My grandmother used to call a lot of people “flakes” lol.
There seems to be a lot of variety in the way people use the term. I usually think of it as “undependable.”
This made me giggle, dear friend. Especially when I think of how flaky I am at times! Lol 😂
;>)
I will steal this for sure😜
;>)
Hi Mitch, thank you for a great post!
yeah enjoyed this mate.
Happy to hear that, Billy.
Just love this Mitch! Thank you! You are just so talented.
Aw, bless you, Kiki❣
Better the second than the first Mitch! Great post, love it!
🧡
This is WONDERFUL ! More & more in this chaotic world I think this becomes reality for most of us. I laughed out loud. You said it all in 5 short lines.
;>)
Flakes are everywhere! In Montana we have more than our share of both kinds!
This is good. I hope i don’t become flaky 😁
Never, Iba! ;>)
It has been awhile since I’ve heard that term used as you are defining it, Mitch. Wait long enough and it will become a trend again.
Nah, only flakes would use a term like that, Chris. ;>)
Good point. ;>) I won’t even dare to make a comment about what percentage of our population would be considered flakes in 2026. Oops.
I’ve always enjoyed the eccentric ones. They keep things interesting. The undependable ones are another story, not worth inviting.
Busy finding no-flakes!
;>)
🤣😁
