Nurture your dream: “The death of a dream is often a subtle form of idolatry. We lose faith in the God who gave us the big dream and settle for a small dream that we can accomplish without his help.” ~Mark Batterson

Great post, thanks for sharing, very encouraging
My sponsor and mentor Jim, used to tell me a story of a man who went to heaven. He was on a tour with St. Peter and they came across a place filled with beautiful houses, fancy cars, and piles of money. The man asked Peter “What is this place?” Peter told it was God’s junkyard. “What do you mean junk?” the man exclaimed. Peter said it was all the stuff that people didn’t want. The man was incredulous. “They didn’t want it? They must’ve been crazy”. Peter pointed to a Rolls Royce in the corner and said that car was yours. The man yelled out, “I never threw away an Rolls!” Peter told him, “Remember when you were out of work and prayed for a car to get to a new job back in 1997? That was the car God had for you but you settled for a used Hyundai…”
Never settle when God is running the show…
I love this story. What a great response to the post.
As a Certified DreamBuilder Coach, I say YES! YES! YES! It’s all comes from God. No dream is too big for Him if we have faith and learn how to listen for His directions, and trust his perfect timing and resources.
There is truth in this. Sometimes, however, God takes the big dream away to see whether we will love Him without it.

This reflection is truly powerful—your words remind us that dreams are sacred gifts from God.
I love how you highlighted the danger of settling for smaller visions when God calls us to greater ones.
Superb writing, my friend—faith-filled, inspiring, and deeply moving.
I’d be honored if you could also visit my blog sometime and share your thoughts there—your perspective would mean so much to me.
Will do, Hary.
Got to think on this more.
