It’s Time to Share Your Story

It's Time to Share Your StoryActs 22:15-16

“You Will Be His Witness”

It’s time to share your story. Has Jesus changed your life? That’s the story he calls you to tell. You don’t have to know the Bible inside and out (although knowing it, really knowing it, will transform you), but you do need to tell your story. Because others desperately need to hear simple, real stories of how lives like ours have been changed by encounters with the living God.

“The world is not made of atoms. The world is made of stories.” ~Muriel Ruykeser

  1. Kounselling says:

Oh, Mitch, I think he has changed everyone’s life, whether we are particularly aware of it or not. Buddha and others with similarly goodmotives did that too.
And your blog also, helps withthat too.

  2. Sue Cass says:

I have a new book coming out pretty soon. “Laying Down My Net – A Walk of Faith,” that tells about how He changed my life – from angry, hate filled, and a thirst for revenge. Then I met Jesus.

  3. Simple truth is powerful truth.

  4. Of all the many millions of lives lived and lost in the middle east over the many centuries, one name is never forgotten.

  5. Debby Marie says:

Wow I love this, Mitch –
Jesus changed my life through my firstborn son. He was born with dwarfism in 1977, and while raising him brought unique challenges, God had a greater plan. Eight years later, through a Good News Club, my son learned about Jesus and shared that Good News with me. The child God entrusted to me became the one He used to lead me to Christ. What I once saw as a challenge became one of my greatest blessings.

  6. I grew up in a close-knit Christian community. At the age of nine, I was converted and began to follow Christ. Then, at a church camp when I was fifteen, I distinctly felt God calling me to a deeper relationship with Him. In my early thirties, my life took a dramatic turn when I lost my chosen career and marriage within six months. It was during this period that I truly understood the profound depth of God’s faith, hope, and love.

  7. I needed Him in my life, so our relationship has been BFF from early on. 🙂

  8. RasmaSandra says:

I wake up and say my morning prayer, thanking the Lord for another day, and before I go to sleep, I say the Lord’s Prayer. When things go well I look up and say, “Thank you,” and i know the Lord gets me through my days.

  9. L.G. says:

Many stories are not dramatic enough but I believe they’re the ones that make an impact, and to a listener who truly needs it, it can be life changing.

  17. Maren says:

So many stories and not one defines us … not even the most dramatic … I always think that was one of the reasons Jesus told so many parables … “if someone doesn’t get it, try this one, or this one …”

  18. Thank you for the encouragement, Mitch! I share my story often: a sinner saved by grace!

  19. Dede says:

It is not possible to list everything the Lord has done for me. There isn’t enough time or space to list it all. These are the things that standout in my mind:
    1. Calling me to be his in a vivid dream when I was 6.
    2. When AA was training new pilots at a rapid pace, everyone was being sent to NYC for their base. My ex husband’s class was the only one to be sent to Dallas.
    3. When I was due to deliver our 2nd daughter, he was scheduled for a trip. I pleaded with him to call in sick so he’d be there. He refused. Told me to call crew schedule after he left on his trip and tell them I was in labor. I was very hurt. He received a phone call a 2 days prior to the induction and was told his trip would be used for training and he didn’t need to come to work. This could have only been the work of God.
    4. A new neighbor from Canada ended up being my greatest support during my divorce.
    5. Kept me from dying post divorce when o tried to kill myself.
    6. Provided me with the most perfect job where I had a purpose and was loved and could love in return.
    7. Blessed with the most patient and loving daughters.

  21. A powerful reminder that every testimony matters. 🙏 Simple, honest stories of faith can touch hearts in ways nothing else can. Thank you for this encouragement to speak and share what God has done.

  22. I lost everything I had. Seriously.
I cried out to our God and he not only restored me, refined me, changed me, healed me and so much more that I couldn’t even begin to put into words (tears of joy) life is much better now and well….He’s not done yet.

  23. Jeff says:

That’s one of the reasons for my own blog. It’s not a daily thing, but my story comes out in it, frequently, especially the one about the last fifteen months. God is good; Christ is everything!
