Don’t forget to set your clocks back, and your hearts forward.
Let’s save these shavings in a jar
And let them out the coming spring
That way we’ll know they can’t get far
Complete control, yes, that’s the thing
But what if our reality
Is not the way things really are?
Perhaps it’s an absurdity
to try and save light in a jar.

Daylight Shavings. That is clever. And a clever poem.
Thank you, Thomas.
Leave the daylight savings time alone! I hate it getting dark early. I guess I need to open my jar. lol
Probably in the minority but as someone who gets up at 4:00 AM naturally every day I hate the dark lasting late into the morning and look forward to the change so it can get light earlier.
I love that imagery of light in a jar. (power, goodness, radiance)
Being an old fart, I have the right to resist this change. I will not change my clocks, watch or phone. I will live an our late or early, whichever occurs. Govt will not dictate what time I drink my Miralax, take my meds, drink my hot Ovaltine or coffee. Resist….it’s all we have left.

In Italy it started last week
Love the play on words, Mitch! Daylight savings time always gets me mixed up. One year I turned my clocks 2 hours back by accident. It took me a day to realize why I was missing out! Did you know that Arizona (except for the Navajo Nation) does not observe Daylight savings time? So Phil is on the right track – apparently you can just say no!
I hate this time so much the clock change. Long dark nights plus takes me about two weeks to really adjust. The cats stay on the old time and somehow we manage to get along. Woke up my usual time this morning 8 AM except it was 7 AM.
I never change my car clock. I just have to change my mindset when looking at it.
It’s hard for children at the end of the day on the playground when it’s dark at 4:30.
Take it to the bank, see if it gains interest.
