I’m Insensitive. Respect Me!

BW_SeriousI have decided to adopt Insensitivity as a way of life, and demand that you respect me as a member of a persecuted minority! What’s that, you say I’ve offended you? Stop persecuting me!

Just a snarky little comment for our confusing times.

  2. rwfrohlich says:

It’s snowing again! Climate change is keeping me from using my new lawn mower! I demand congressional action now! And I want loan forgiveness for the lawn mower. If this offends you, you’re a racist, fascist bigot.

  6. JMN says:

I’m tempted to haul off and RESPECT you, you saucy man! You won’t know what loved you.

    • mitchteemley says:

I’d probably be offended if I knew what that meant, but I kinda like being called “saucy.”

      • JMN says:

No offense implied or intended. “Saucy” is a term of endearment. Cheers and regards.

        • mitchteemley says:

Just being saucy. Cheers and regards back, my friend.

P.S. Here’s what Dictionary.com says about “sau·cy” [ˈsôsē], adjective, informal:
          1) saucy (adjective) · saucier (comparative adjective) · sauciest (superlative adjective)
          impudent; flippant: “a saucy remark”
          2) NORTH AMERICAN ENGLISH
bold and lively; smart-looking: “a hat with a saucy brim”
          3) BRITISH ENGLISH
sexually suggestive, typically in a way intended to be lighthearted: “saucy songs”

  11. Sharon says:

I think I’ve just offended myself…lucky I live in Scotland and now I can report myself for a hate crime against me.

  12. Lisa Bernard says:

It’s insanity wrapped in pure selfishness inside an oversized ego – on my humble opinion!

  18. JMN says:

Yikes! Let’s go with number 2: bold, lively, smart. I didn’t realize “saucy” could wander in those other directions! Peace and love.

  19. gregoryjoel says:

Wow – a choice. I’m finding the older I get I seem to become more insensitive despite my best efforts to be somewhat empathetic… I think I’ll follow your direction…
