Just a quick reminder from the animal kingdom: We don’t have to be like each other to get along. Heck, we don’t even have to be the same species! Your September assignment: Make friends with someone who’s nothing like you!

Aw, Mitch. YES! This made my day! So you know…I see you as a Nice Lion and I’m a little monkey who is your friend. Tee hee!
Aww, bless you, little monkey. ;>)
Squeak! (does a monkey squeak?) tee hee. Blessings to you!
;>)
Loved all those photos awful cute. I have an opossum who visits at night and I leave it leftovers when I can. One night I looked out to see if it was there and the cutest thing ever there was a little baby opossum sitting on the mama’s back.
Love it… I married someone who is NOTHING like me, and I really LIKE him! 🤷🏼♀️😂‼️
I’m a different species than my wife too, Dori. ;>) Cross-species marriages are the best!
Amen to THAT!!! 🙂
All God’s creatures!
Some days I can relate to the cat with the mice – “I can’t believe I agreed to this.” LOL
;>)
if I understand it right this is how it will be in the Millennium. I’m waiting With great expectation.
Me too!
The verse it comes to me is; This is how the world will know you are my disciples, if you have love for each other. This is the goal, we are a work in progress.
It is indeed, and we are very much works-in-progress, my friend.
Thanks for your like of my article on Eschatology; you are very kind.
I do appreciate theology-oriented posts.
Thank you. You are very kind.
There is something heartwarming about animals who make friends with other species. And you’re right–we should follow their example and reach out to those who are different than we are. I accept your challenge, Mitch! Women’s Bible Study starts up next week at our church. I’m going to look for someone who seems to be nothing like me and strike up a conversation!
You go, Nancy!
The lion and the fawn-YIKES! The black lab and elephant have an amazing friendship. All these adorable animals are causing a cuteness overload. 🙂

This reminded me that Central Florida Public media is facilitating conversations now between people with different political views to highlight, they hope, how much more we all have in common that what is on social media.
Good for them!
Am waiting with eager anticipation for the day when all these will be a common occurrence: “The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the young goat, and the calf and the lion and the fattened calf together; and a little child shall lead them” (Isaiah 11:6)
Me too, Leo and Nina.
Animals can teach us a lot if we will just listen.
This is an Amazing group of photos my fav is the elephant with the clog leaping off him.
Incredible pictures. The duckling and dog are SO cute!
Love this post! 💜
Lots of Aaahhs! If animals can do it, so can we. Great pics! The elephant and the Lab are adorable.
I’ve seen the photos of the bear and the wolf numerous times over the past year and it is such a heartwarming story.
We can learn so much from our animal peers. In some ways, they have it figured out better than us humans do!
Amen!
I just absolutely love this!
Great lesson.
Aw! My favorite is the pelican and dog on the dock–or maybe the raccoon hugging the dog.
