I’ve posted some heavy stuff this week. So it seems time for a lighthearted break, in this case combining two things I love: animals and caricatures. I drew caricatures regularly as a kid, although not so much now; I’m strictly an amateur (a couple here are by me). And animals are a frequent topic at The Power of Story. So, I thought, Why not combine the two? Of course, many are anthropomorphisms, i.e. the imposition human traits upon them. Because, unlike animals, we make everything about us.

Manshoes!
;>)
I recognized the illustrations from Wind in the Willows–a childhood favorite of mine!
Me too, Liz! Although I actually read it as a teenager (I’d seen the Disney version as a kid).
It was one of my mother’s favorite books when she was a child, so it became a favoriate of mine as well.
Ok I will admit it, I had no idea what a Caricature was but thanks to Google I now do. 😆
An overload of cuteness!!
I love the horse playing manshoes too. I’ll have to show my granddaughter–she loves plays on words!
Aww, thanks, Nancy!
Creative artists!

Me too, PK.

My pleasure, Carol. Btw, I still can’t link to your blog site when I receive email notifications that you “Liked” one of mine. I have to wait until you comment on something, then click on your crown logo, and then link to your blog from the Gravatar page. This be limiting visits to your blog site.
Thanks for the headsup Mitch re linking to my site. I’m not sure how to go about fixing this. Thank you for commenting, even if it is a roundabout route to do so.
The Unflappable Dodo! Too funny!
I love the two little mice under the umbrella x. Reminds me of the illustrations in the books I read my children. Brambly hedge. Thanks Mitch
Thanks for the fun today. I love the book “Furry Logic.” The drawings are paired with quotes and will bring a laugh to most days. Jane Seabrook does a great job!
Wow, this is spectacular! Loved it! So much personality in the pictures!

Absolutely delightful!
Adorable looking art!
Love these–especially the Beatrix Potter illusstrations.
Sorry, didn’t catch the typo until it was too late. Should be illustrations, of course.
