170 years ago today, the Mormon pioneers arrived in Utah’s Salt Lake Valley. “This is the place,” Brigham Young declared.
The door-to-door visits came later.

I like this one. There is a reason for the United States of America, and this is one of those reasons. Great post Mitch.
This is great! Thanks you made my day
I always wondered when that started.
And thus they came, across the prairie, over mountains and through rivers on bikes?
Yep. ;>)
This morning i saw 2 guy Mormons shopping at Walmart. White shirt, black pants, a tie, and a name tag on white shirt. Always the same clothes. Your drawing is amazing. 🙂

The Mormons have always confused me. I live near one of their important sites, and it just blows my mind how they can so willingly follow a patently obvious false prophet. Joseph Smith was a false prophet, sent to steal salvation from people, and that is exactly what he’s still doing all these years after his death.
Mormons teach and practice an appealing blend of community, family values, and inclusiveness (which all goes away if you leave the LDS fold). They keep their most unbiblical doctrines in the background until one is deeply committed, knowing these are harder to swallow.
Naturally. It’s the same with Islam. They’re all about “religion of peace” until a convert is hooked, then it’s time to become radicalized.
Tee hee, snorkle, snort.
