    This reminds me of a teenager who came to me to ask for help with her family life; a dad that was living with another woman, a mother who attended church but hated her husband, sibling who just did not seem to get anything. As I advised her, she asked plaintively, “Why does it seem like ‘I’m’ the one who has to do everything!?”
    As gently as I could, I told her, “You are the one who is asking.”
