Wednesday is Valentine’s Day! Don’t forget to buy something for that special creep in your life.

Thought for the Week
“We accept the love we think we deserve.”
~Stephen Chbosky
“Let men tremble to win the hand of woman, unless they win along with it the utmost passion of her heart!”
“It was never you. It was the feeling. The feeling of being wanted. The feeling of being looked at and feeling seen. The feeling of being someone needed by someone else. And feelings can’t be kept in a cage – if allowed, they do the caging.”
“Love should never draw from the well of loneliness.”
“Never settle for someone that didn’t know your worth from the beginning, or build a life without God in it. Live beyond your low expectations.”
“If you can hate what you loved, then you never really loved it!”
“Too much of the time, we are blinded by our own pursuits of people to love us, people that don’t even matter, while all that time we waste and the people who do love us have to stand on the sidewalk and watch us beg in the streets! It’s time for us to let ourselves be loved.”

Indeed, it’s time!! Hugs to you for sharing these tidbits of wisdom!
The messages these quotes offer would be helpful for young love birds. 🙂
I just can’t….stop giggling!! And then,…the LOVE quotes hit straight to the heart! Each quote spoke to me. Happy Valentine’s Day to you and your lovely and beautiful wife!
And to you too, Karla!
Thank you so much!
Love them all, but especially the Gollum one.
Love the Gollum photo – so great! And the one that hit me is – “We accept the love we think we deserve.” Totally, totally true! Happy Valentine’s Day!
You too, Joanne!
There are statistical reasons to believe that life of some sort may be thinly scattered across the universe.
I have a hunch (no stats here) that wherever life evolves to the point of being able to build bridges and write poems, it evolves a deep need to love and be loved.
These are wonderful, wishing you a week filled with much love and many blessings!
Likewise, Mary!
Some great wisdom there Mitch. Let’s be grateful the loves in our lives every day, not just 14th February. 💕
Love this, Mitch.
Happy Valentine’s Day to you & yours! ❤️
You too, T!
Thank you! 😉
Not exactly a fan of Valentines day Mitch. Just an excuse for stores to try to make more money by making people think they have to give that special creep a gift. Hmmm, maybe it’s because there are no creeps in my life now. But Happy, Happy to you.
Another special holiday created by retailers. I remember in grade school, teacher made us bring signed valentines to school and pass them out to our classmates. It was an innocent exercise, akin to hiding and finding eggs from a Rabbit. One boy in my class, Stewart, got one valentine, not thirty or so like the rest of us. He was crushed and tears flowed. My teacher, realizing her mistake took everyone’s valentines and put them in a box in the coatroom. All these years later, it’s still sad.
Sad indeed, Phil. I seem to recall an “Everyone gets a valentine from everyone” policy in my school.
We had the same policy. We also had one family that would erase the names from Valentines they received and re-gift them to everyone the next year. We finally all signed our names in ink and stopped that practice for good. Wouldn’t have mattered if they were in the same financial situation we were but they were the wealthiest family in the area. Hehe, I guess now I know how they got that way!
Me! I am the special Creep in my own life. I am buying myself a gift..in a way. I’ll post about it.
;>)
It has gots a Valentines in its pocketses! *GOLLUM*
;>) Perfect!
Well chosen! Thank you, Mitch. 🙏🏻 Happy Valentine’s to you and yours. 💐
Thank you, and likewise, Michele!
I cracked up at the Gollum image! On a more serious note, I love the Lenny Bartulin quote.
Me too.
