There are two things in life you can’t fake: singing and sincerity. People may not tell you, but they know instantly when you’re off-key. So, before you go out on stage, make sure your heart is in tune.

    I love the Spurgeon quote; it reminds me of good folk from my childhood in the mining village. These folk were looked down on by wealthy types for their humble background and beliefs, but there was no doubting their sincerity and charity.
