Trust the God of the Promise

Trusting the Promise (mitchteemley.com)

We don’t need faith for the things we can see,
we need it for the things we can’t see.
So then, what are we supposed to believe in?
If I believe you’re going to take me to dinner at my favorite restaurant
it’s not because I believe in dinner or in the restaurant,
it’s because I believe in you.
Abraham trusted the promise of God,
because he trusted the God of the promise.

Interesting thought… Also a complex idea: Faith. I think too many people judge / believe in God based on what people do… that doesn’t work. Your post reminded me of reading Fear and Trembling by Soren Kierkegaard… real faith is an incredible and difficult journey.

    I love this.
