The Difference Between Cats and Dogs

It’s true, they’re as distinct from one another as night is from day. But, like night and day, we need them both — or the world as we know it will cease to exist!

    Well said.

  2. Brad James says:

Mitch a friend once told me that people can act like cats or dogs
When entering a group of people, dog people immediately go up to everyone and say hi, cat people walk around the outside and when they discover the most interesting person go directly to only them!
    Brad

  3. Warum Katze und Hund gegeneinander ausspielen? Sind nicht beide Familienmitglieder? LG Sven

  6. firewater65 says:

When I was four or five, and living in Puerto Rico, friends of my parents had a standard poodle and a Siamese cat named Monique and Nehru (I didn’t get the joke until decades later). I distinctly remember, even at that age, being amazed that the two got along and seemed to genuinely like each other. I guess cartoons had already suggested this was unnatural.

  7. Scott says:

My dog knows things about me that no one else knows.

And yet, he still loves me. 🦮

Mitch, what a fabulous Friday share! I love these! (your hindsight is 20/20, lol—I can’t use a can opener! ) I giggled and “awwwed” at some of these! The quotes are perfect (and relatable). Thank you, my friend! I needed this post!

  11. Loku says:

Ha ha… Thanks for sharing, Mitch!

  12. Lots of entertaining reading material here. Carrie Underwood’s quote is a hoot! 🙂

  13. Erika says:

Oh, so funny, Mitch. We have cats too and I can confirm that behind every joke is a spark of truth 😂

  14. Ray V. says:

“Dogs have masters and cats have staff” – Rush Limbaugh

  15. 🤣🤣🤣

  16. Dogs have owners. Cats have staff.

  17. Thanks for the chuckles, Mitch.
    C. S. Lewis compared dogs and cats to the sinners and the Pharisees. Obviously, he preferred dogs to cats. (And Jesus prefers the sinners who know that’s what they are and are willing to admit it.)

  18. randydafoe says:

That is a great collection Mitch. They say a lot about the human condition. For me they are best kept at a distance due to severe allergies.

  19. Oh, Pavlov’s cat!

  20. My cats totally agree 😻

  21. These are great, Mitch! Both dogs and cats are lovely to have! 💕

  22. C.A. Post says:

The difference between cats and dogs is that when you throw a stick and say, “Fetch”, to the dog, he does so. With the cat, he looks at you and says, “Why should I get it? You’re the idiot who threw it.”😂

  23. C.A. Post says:

    One other difference:
A dog looks at you and thinks, “You shelter me, feed me, love me, take care of me; YOU must be God.”
The cat thinks, “You shelter me, feed me, love me, take care of me; I must be God.”😂

  24. NEERAJ SINGH says:

    very nice👌

  25. I laughed so hard! Great quotes, too.

  26. Great illustration, wonderful read. Both my cat and I relate!😸

  27. I love all of it. This is when I wish we could include pictures in comments. I have the best photo of our granddaughter at about 3 months and my son’s cat. It would fit perfectly with these!

  28. Terri says:

So true! I have one of both!

  29. Lulu: “It’s a fair cop.”

  30. The first one (the guy hanging from the tree) illustrates why dogs–not cats–have been called man’s best friend. 😂 I also especially like the bar scene with the dog. 🤣

  31. Lori Pohlman says:

Oh, Mitch, these are all so good. Thank you!

  32. These were all great for a variety of reasons! As a dog person who is fascinated by cats, I loved it all!
