Pull Others Up Onto the Rock

“Look, when you’re drowning and someone is reaching down from a rock and says, ‘Grab my hand!’ you do it, Alec. That’s when it’s all right to use someone, because that’s how they got there. That’s how I did, that’s how my brother Peter did. I mean, I still barely even have my own footing, but I’m saying, ‘Grab my hand. Use me!” ~Healing River (from the upcoming novel)

We have two main purposes in this life:

To climb up onto the Rock.

And to pull others up onto it.

  2. Never thought of the rock that way, Mitch.. pulling another up onto it. I’m so appreciative of that new visual for the soul — thank you! I usually picture the rock in Gethsemane, when others were too devastated to watch (in prayer) with Him.🙏❤️

    • mitchteemley says:

Thanks, Gail. By “how is that novel?” do you mean, “Where can I buy it?” (it’s not out yet), or “is it any good?” (it’s very good, in my humble and completely objective opinion ;>).
