Politics

Given the current rather bizarre state of politics in my country (“current” meaning any day of any year), it seems like a good time for this:

“Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedies.” ~Groucho Marx

“He knows nothing, and he thinks he knows everything. That points clearly to a political career.” ~George Bernard Shaw

“You have to remember one thing about the will of the people: it wasn’t that long ago that we were swept away by the Macarena.” ~Jon Stewart

“How can you govern a country which has 246 varieties of cheese?” ~Charles de Gaulle

“To summarize the summary of the summary: people are a problem.” ~Douglas Adams

  3. I really like this. Yesterday, as I watched snippets of Michael Cohen’s testimony, I thought that I have been watching Political Theater the last few months. God help us all!

I seem to recall an episode of Babylon 5, in which a character sums it up perfectly. “Analyze a situation, find the solution that makes the least amount of sense, and run with it.” Never has that scene been more appropriate. 😂
