As we prepare for the year ahead, it’s good to remember that Things Don’t Always Go the Way We Planned. Sometimes the results are disastrous (2020 anyone?), sometimes they’re better than we expected, and sometimes they’re simply reminders that–as these perfectly-timed-yet-perfectly-unexpected pictures demonstrate–we really aren’t the ones in charge.

These are great, but I’d never forgive the photographer who didn’t warn about the spider on the pillow. 😁
It’s a selfie, actually, so the photographer is the girl on the right–who still hasn’t seen the spider yet.
Oh gosh. Nightmare. I’ll forgive her then, lol
The mini cat sticking out of the little kid’s head. I laughed so hard I cried!
These unusual captures and photo bombs are hysterical, except for the spider in bed one-that’s a nightmare! 🙂
I concur.
Me too!
These are great! I think my favorite is the tiny cat in the little girl’s hair. The Easter Bunny one is the creepiest.
Thanks, Mitch. Hilarious! I have one from our wedding that has a plant growing out of my head and another from our time in India. There’s a very large NO PARKING sign with three motorbikes neatly arranged under it!
Happy New Year!
You too, Gail!
Great captures! Quite amusing! Wishing you a Happy New Year!
Likewise, Rasma!
Indeed, sometimes the best pictures taken are the ones where the planned shot goes totally off-the-rails!
Yep!
I love the glamour shot with the kid in his pajamas stuffing chips in his mouth.
Fun ones, Mitch.
Giraffe wins.
Welcome to real life!
Awesome and funny!
Love them! I can’t decide on a favorite, though. Maybe the baby with the tail?
We are indeed not the ones in charge.
Fantastic! 😂
I love the Whale as the Wedding Guest!
Quite entertaining!
XD
Very funny. I like to share this. Thanks
Those are great! 😊
splendid selection!
Happy Holidays!

You too, Graham!
Those pics are fab but dont like spiders creepy buggers
Good selection … lots of laughs here!!! Thanks, Mitch!
That was me … Jill … it didn’t ask me to sign in, just made me anonymous!
Alas, WordPress is good at that kind of thing.
The beluga whale picture gets me every time. What a photobomb that money can’t buy.
;>)
These really made me smile thanks Mitch. Although the Easter Bunny was a tad menacing 😱

Having very recently been at the Monterey Bay Aquarium just three days before my 35th wedding anniversary, I especially enjoyed the two wedding pics with the beluga! 😂💗
Congrats on your anniversary, Keith! Btw, my wife and I visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium on our honeymoon. We got pics of the otters playing (Trudy adores otters), but they didn’t pose for us.
Thanks, Mitch, and great place for a honeymoon (except the crowds)! The jellyfish and otters were the two species that I enjoyed watching the most; we also saw a large number of playful otters in the ocean from another place. It seemed like at least one was posing. 😂
These are amazing!!! The trash & the rainbow, the old man amist butterfly wings…all is meant for resurrection. 💞
Trying to take good sharp photographs of food often needs perfect timing but more often its dumb luck. You have a great collection of pictures Mitch, thanks for sharing.
My pleasure, Kevin.
Sensational!
