Palm Sunday, A Failed Celebration

“Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD.”

~Psalm 118:26

Blessed is He

On Palm Sunday people celebrated who they wanted Jesus to be.

The following week they tried to silence forever who He was.

Thank God they failed.

    Truth.
    Succinctly and perfectly stated.
    Thank you.

  10. A rescuing Savior is often what we, too, want Christ to be. That is understandable in this broken world. But Christ came not merely to reform this broken world, but to transform us in preparation for another.

    To you, and yours. ^^

  13. C.A. Post says:

Actually, it is a common error that the crowd that welcomed Jesus turned and cried, “Crucify Him!.” This is completely false. The “crowds” of Jews that lauded His entry were all at Passover celebrations (quiet family/friend groups) and unaware of what the Jerusalem Jews and their leaders were up to until it was too late.

  14. Never considered that. Thank you

  15. Ann Coleman says:

    That’s an excellent point!
