Overlooked Birthdays at Christmas Time

Some of my friends’ birthdays fall on or near Christmas day, and so, sadly, they tend to be overlooked.

Take my friend Jesus, for example.

Hey, here’s an idea: What if we were so much like Him, that people were reminded of Him every time they saw us at Christmas time–and all year round, for that matter?

“Be imitators of God as beloved children, and walk in love, just as Christ also loved us.”

~Ephesians 5:1-2

How appropriate. Love this Mitch. Thanks for the gentle reminder…

  2. There were a couple of years we sang “Happy Birthday” to Jesus…
My son’s birthday is in December, and one year we decided to have his next celebration on his “half birthday” in June. Since we lived by a lake that was conducive to beach parties, that worked well for him, so we had half birthday parties from then on.

GREAT idea! With a birthday on December 20, I used to feel like one of those “overlooked” people. But that was back before I went into “birthday denial,” trying to ignore the ever-increasing total.
