Our prevailing sexual culture is so insidious and contaminating, thank you for this post. Perhaps the title was a deliberate throwback to the book, ‘Our Bodies Ourselves’. In the guise of a health manual and vastly popular, it normalized.abortion and recreational sex. It corrupted my values at a young age. Only the Holy Spirit can renew our minds and open our eyes to the beauty and honor found in the ways of our Maker Thank you Mitch.

I used to tell my daughters snd then my grandchildren that sex was not a game. Nothing I said was believed. They all still think casual sex is no big deal. Nothing wrong with it.

I don’t think abortion has anything to do with it. The blame lies in movies, music and TV. Sex for just fun has been preached and the kids accepted it. Not that I’m saying my granddaughters have casual sex, they don’t but their friends do.

I asked my granddaughter, “If it is okay to sleep with lots of guys, why haven’t you and your sisters?” She said she didn’t know. I told her it is because you all have self-respect and self-confidence, and you got that because you parents loved you as you grew up.

The reason I had sex as a teen was because I knew no one, really no one in the world, loved me. I think that is why most girls have sex. They can feel loved, even if they aren’t, they feel loved for a few minutes.

    Hi Mitch,

I pray that value of purity is seen by our young adults as a treasure. I teach high school so that is a prayer I have for them.

    Thank you,

    Gary
