Our Beautiful, Broken World

Yesterday, leaders of the world’s most environmentally destructive nations met virtually, despite some very chilly relations, and pledged to increase efforts to heal our world. Is the handwriting finally, undeniably on the wall? Let’s hope and pray it is. Because, while national borders may serve a purpose, the earth recognizes no such borders.

  1. Beautiful, meaningful quotes.

  2. haoyando says:

Pray for more actions. The environment is sick and the weather is extreme.

I’m afraid that this is just another means to take away freedom. The richest people are the one polluting the planet but they won’t be the ones having their freedoms curtailed . Get ready for fake meat and massive taxation. Life under climate fear is not going to be what we have all grown up with . But it’s okay because I’m ready for Jesus to return and this just means we are that much closer.

Nice pics, and that last quote should be the anthem for humanity.

  15. Inspiring post. Beautiful images and words of truth and wisdom. Our planet is having an emergency crisis, and it does need global unity and effort if it is to survive for future generations. The pandemic last year during the global lockdown showed for 3-4 months the Earth was healing because humans retreated their repeated abuse of nature, but now reopening is happening to most, the vicious cycle repeats. Man today is all about instant self indulgence and greed, the good and the caring are also dwindling like our natural resources. Hope it gets better because action is needed ASAP. Thanks 🙏

Our planet is in desperate need of a spring cleaning. Even if everyone would just dispose of their trash responsibly, we’d enhance her beauty significantly. Why is that so hard for some people to do? A couple of years ago our son took a photo of a drink cup and straw left on a park bench–right next to the trash can!

  17. Carla says:

Great post Mitch. We are our own worst enemy. So many people take the world and God’s creation for granted thinking it will last forever, but not if we do nothing.

  18. Have people who are well-off finally begun learning to take less than they want so that other critters (and other people) can get what they need?  There is not much time left.

Very powerful blog! I think things will only stop when it becomes more profitable to save the world than it does to kill it. It’s just greed.
