A Filmmaker’s Journal
Watch it here or at Movieweb!
The trailer for my comedy feature Notzilla just received its world premiere on the influential entertainment site…
It also received its first review from Movieweb reviewer Kevin Burwick, who writes:
“This hilarious send-up of classic monster movies has won best comedy awards at multiple film festivals over the last year. It seems that audiences can’t get enough of a Japanese scientist accidentally releasing a giant beer-guzzling monster in the U.S., who must save it–and the city–before everything gets nuked. And who can blame them? It’s 2020 and we need all the laughs we can get at the moment, which means the world is totally ready for a Godzilla spoof with a hint of Gremlins. Notzilla looks like it could be a cult classic.”
“Looks like it could be a cult classic”? I can live with that!

Congratulations! Yes, we all need to laugh!
I must have misread something earlier. I’ve been looking for “Notzilla” on Amazon for a couple of weeks and getting frustrated. However, I did end up re-watching “Not Without My Daughter” one night. (Good flick, but not funny!)
Maybe we should produce a hybrid sequel to both movies: “Not Without My Monster.” ;>)
Go for it – right after your movie version of “Satan’s Worst Nightmare.” 😉
Good for you, my friend. And, yes, your timing is perfect. Little did you know when writing and making this, it would come out at a time when the world is depressed and needs a pick-me-up.
Indeed! And thanks, Katheryn.
🍻Here’s to that lovable, beer swilling Notzilla! So excited for you, Mitch, and everyone involved with this funny, enjoyable movie!🎬🎭
Thank you, Kathleen!

Thanks!
Now we just need to include the McKenzie Bros. and the Elsinore Brewery and there’d be a “Strange Brew” sequel on our hands! 😉
;>) Oh, take off, eh!
