Whatever the weather
cold and overcast or bursting with morning light
the Son has risen in my heart
and His light remains

Now I’ve got the song stuck in my head.:-)
My mother chose this hymn for my father’s funeral and her own.
<3
One of my favorite songs of all time. How courageous a funeral choice! A last beautiful, beautiful testament, “evidence of things unseen.”
It made the funerals a little easier to bear (albeit not much).
I certainly do feel you -on both counts.
I had Cat Stevens’ version of “Morning Has Broken” back in the day. It’s a pretty hymn. Chapman does a great vocal and the visuals are beautiful. Thanks, Mitch.
As always, my privilege, Nancy.
A favorite song of mine! ❤
My husband is not a morning person. One day, when we needed to be up early for an appointment, I decided to sing this song as a gentle way of waking my dear hubby.
Me: “Morning has broken . . .”
Hubby: “Well, FIX IT.”
