Love Is a Bridge

King-Non-Violence

Thought for the Week

“I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear. Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend.”

~Martin Luther King Jr.

Sir Isaac Newton once said, “We build too many walls and not enough bridges.” Today in America we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a man who not only crossed bridges, but built them.

Thank you, sir!

  5. Dr Martin Luther King Jr. spoke with such poignant wisdom, and lived according to the words he spoke. He was no façade. There are so many good quotes to choose from, but I think you’ve selected three of his very best. Thanks for the excellent post, Mitch.

  6. As a pastor, Martin Luther King was reiterating what Jesus said about sin being in the heart. Hatred is equivalent to murder in God’s eyes. (Matthew 5:21-22)
